Weekly Encouragement

After every Monday prayer meeting, we email a recap to encourage all of our registry members in their business work. We also post the encouragements to this blog for anyone to learn more about how we do what we do!

 The Closet Edition

We are always trying to get better at engaging with God on your behalf and better at engaging with you. Click here to see a short list of tips that will help you get the most from being on the prayer registry. Today we prayed from Matthew 6:6 for your personal prayer life. This verse is often called the “prayer closet” verse from Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount. Here are two translations: You, the members of this registry, all asked to join, so our assumption is that you are a praying person at some level. Our simple prayer today is that you experience God’s presence as you take time to pray. I find distractions to be distracting, so entering into a space (closet, parked car or empty room) with fewer distractions helps me feel closer to God. We hope that you can find a quiet place to sit with God

The Horsing Around Edition

We prayed earlier today. We prayed for you, the work you do and the people you serve. We found opportunity, hope and encouragement in the words that God spoke to Jeremiah. In Jeremiah 12:5a God said, “So, Jeremiah, if you’re worn out in this footrace with men, what makes you think you can race against horses?” Jeremiah was exhausted and couldn’t keep up with his job because he was doing everything in his own power. God was offering a better option – do life in my power and on my terms, and you’ll run faster than horses and experience more of life than you can imagine. Corrie Ten Boom, a holocaust survivor, shared, “If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you’ll be depressed. If you look at God, you’ll be at rest.”  We prayed for those of you who feel like: We prayed that

The Goodness Edition

Today we prayed for you. We prayed from an inspired perspective that we gained from the following verses. The links work, but if you are in a hurry, I’ve summarized each verse. Psalm 107:1  God is good. 1 Chronicles 16:34  God is good. Nahum 1:7  God is good. Luke 10:18  God is good. Matthew 19:17  God is good. I hope that you picked up on a theme 😁. Sometimes knowing a thing and living like you believe it are not the same. I know that God is good, but I act in ways that question how deeply I truly believe it. What would my decision making look like if I deeply believed that God is good? What would life look like if I were completely fearless?  We thanked God for: We prayed for you to hear and follow God’s voice even when it doesn’t make rational sense, like David facing

The Bowl-ing Team Edition

We are your bowling team. After nearly three years of praying for businesses, prayer is just as much of a joyful mystery as it was when we started this registry. I regularly feel like a kid the day before opening Christmas presents, wondering what amazing stuff Dad [our Heavenly Father] is going to give to those who have asked us to pray. Thank you for letting us know what to pray and what happens after we pray. To share stories and update your requests, click this button. The Bible describes our prayers as incense filling up bowls in heaven and filling the throne room with their aroma. We like to think that as we pray for you, we are helping to fill the heavenly bowls. Revelation 5:8b Each had a harp and each had a bowl, a gold bowl filled with incense, the prayers of God’s holy people. MSG Revelation

The Think about how you Think Edition

On Monday and throughout the week, we are praying that your thoughts are blessed. We hope that you have time to think about how you are thinking. Philippians 4:8-9 “Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.” The practice of focusing on good and noble things results in God making everything work together, so we prayed for: Then we asked God to work those thoughts together for His most excellent plans. Praying for and thinking about you

The Business or Busyness Edition

As we all get busy with 2026, our prayer team prayed from Acts 6:4. In Acts Chapter 6, the disciples find themselves too busy with the growing church, so they redirect their attention to prioritize prayer. In some translations prayer is referred to as their assignment.  Verse 4 reads: Meanwhile, we’ll stick to our assigned tasks of prayer and speaking God’s Word. Our team was dispersed as we prayed today. Below is what we believe God led us to pray for, or what we heard about you. Some heard: Some prayed: Some requested: *A breath prayer is concise and can be spoken in one breath. Praying away busyness for your business
