Weekly Encouragement

After every Monday prayer meeting, we email a recap to encourage all of our registry members in their business work. We also post the encouragements to this blog for anyone to learn more about how we do what we do!

You Have Been Prayed For – The Kept Edition

A Milestone Worth Celebrating For the first time in the history of this registry, we received nearly as many celebration reports as new prayer requests. What a testament to God’s faithfulness! Thank you for sharing what He is doing in and through your businesses. We are honored to witness firsthand so many ways God is moving in the marketplace. Today’s Prayer Focus: A King Who Walked with God Our prayer time today centered on King Uzziah, a man who experienced extraordinary blessing — and the sobering danger of losing his way. His story in 2 Chronicles 26 is a powerful reminder that success is a gift to steward, not a trophy to claim. The Arc of King Uzziah’s Life We Prayed These Things Over You “May God bless you and keep you.”  — Numbers 6:24 We reflected today on what it means to be kept. Avoiding the pitfall of Uzziah

The Two Expectations Edition

When we pray, we expect God to show up and answer. He always does — but not always in the way we expect, or on the timeline we want. In the passage below, Naaman, a military commander, arrives with a very specific idea of how God should heal him. When Elisha’s instructions don’t match that picture, Naaman walks away angry. It’s worth asking: Do we sometimes put limits on God by expecting Him to answer in a particular way? 2 Kings 5:10-12 — “Elisha sent out a servant to meet him with this message: ‘Go to the River Jordan and immerse yourself seven times. Your skin will be healed and you’ll be as good as new.’ Naaman lost his temper. He spun around saying, ‘I thought he’d personally come out and meet me, call on the name of God, wave his hand over the diseased spot, and get rid of

The Wasting Time Edition

Today’s general prayers were mostly silent. We took to heart King Solomon’s instructions and spent five minutes in complete silence and stillness, simply sitting with our lord and savior. Ecclesiastes 5:2 Don’t shoot off your mouth, or speak before you think. Don’t be too quick to tell God what you think he wants to hear. God’s in charge, not you—the less you speak, the better. MSG I have really come to appreciate the ancient prayers. Some of the prayers that I practice have been prayed for millenia. Repetitively echoing the voices of spiritual fathers and mothers that lived generations ago is beautiful and full of mystery. So is sitting in silence in God’s presence. That is what we did today. We invested the first five minutes of our call simply being with God – no questions, petitions or praises. If it has been a while – or you have never

The Excellent Ask Edition

Today’s prayers were simple and powerful. We prayed for you to continually seek excellence in your work and to ask for God’s help when you don’t know what to do. Prov. 22:29 Observe people who are good at their work—     skilled workers are always in demand and admired;     they don’t take a backseat to anyone. MSG James 1:5 If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. MSG We prayed for God to: We love praying for you and feel privileged to be on your team.

The Father Abraham Edition

This week over half of the world will either celebrate Pentecost or Eid al-Adha. Both Muslims and Christians are recognizing and remembering miraculous events during the week. God’s provision is the focus of millions of people this week!  We prayed from Genesis 22:1-19. My synopsis of the story is this: God asked Abraham to radically trust Him by sacrificing his son; God rescued Abraham’s son from a sacrificial death by providing a ram; then God pronounced a blessing on all nations through Abraham’s descendants because Abraham trusted God with what he loved the most: his son. We prayed: Thank you for keeping us current with your challenges and celebrations. It is our privilege to pray with you for your work. Praying and trusting, The prayer team and Dayn P.S. Below is the passage from Genesis with my highlights. Can you imagine the conversation between Abraham and Sarah, his wife, before

The Ordered Edition

2 Chronicles 1:1-13. The books of the Bible titled 1 and 2 Chronicles are effectively history books that detail the lives of the leaders of Israel for several generations. This passage outlines how Solomon started his reign as king. One of our prayers is that all of us in leadership follow his lead in how we order our approach to leading. Solomon commenced his kingship by: The training that I received in school and in the marketplace had a different order: I regularly asked God to bless the plans that I made. Goal setting, working with excellence and aggressively executing plans are what good organizations do. Solomon’s example of looking to Heaven first and aligning with God’s purposes before getting busy with work is the mark of a great organization. We prayed: Praying in the right order, The prayer team and Dayn
