As we all get busy with 2026, our prayer team prayed from Acts 6:4. In Acts Chapter 6, the disciples find themselves too busy with the growing church, so they redirect their attention to prioritize prayer. In some translations prayer is referred to as their assignment.
Verse 4 reads: Meanwhile, we’ll stick to our assigned tasks of prayer and speaking God’s Word.
Our team was dispersed as we prayed today. Below is what we believe God led us to pray for, or what we heard about you.
Some heard:
- That God is nourishing the leaders of the businesses as they turn to Him in prayer. He is the one giving them the direction to walk. (Seems relevant to the new year in 2026);
- Prayer brings clarity and guidance on what to do next;
- Be like the disciples: “staying back” to pray and minister is not inaction; there’s a real maturity in this. It’s the backbone of the operation.
Some prayed:
- For clarity;
- For maturity;
- For submission in consistent daily discernment of God’s will.
Some requested:
- That the businesses lean into prayer when they feel busy;
- Encouragement for you to pray short “breath” prayers throughout the day.
*A breath prayer is concise and can be spoken in one breath.
