Quick tips to get the most from your partnership with PrayingBusiness.com

Note from us

We’ve learned a thing or two about prayer over the last few years, however take these tips with a grain of salt. Entrusting us with your prayer requests brings joy to our team and energizes us to continue the work God has called us to. We are not self-proclaimed prayer experts (and never will be), but we hope to grow in the ways God leads us to. Below is an accumulation of how YOU CAN BEST SERVE US when it comes to praying alongside your business. We always love to hear about more ways to pray and the stories that come with it, so send us a note if you feel nudged to share!

Tip #1: Designate a Prayer Lead

We tend to see great success when a company appoints an internal prayer lead. This person manages the submission of requests and praises and encourages your team to submit new challenges.

Tip #2: Share victories

We love celebrating with you. We never tire of hearing about answered prayers and unexpected blessings.

Tip #3: Be specific

When we bring your requests and praises before God, clarity matters. We consistently see a kind of “responsiveness multiplier” when business leaders are clear about what they’re facing.

For example: “We need $8,346 by Thursday to cover payroll” gives your prayer team something concrete to agree with—more so than “Pray for receivables to come in soon.” In scripture, Jesus sometimes uses numbers and sometimes doesn’t. As your prayer team, when you share specifics, we can more fully stand with you in faith for those needs to be met.

Tip #4: Update us regularly

Think of the registry as a living journal. Regular updates help you track how God is moving in your business, and they help us pray with greater insight and continuity.

Tip #5: Be concise

Please remember you’re asking a team of volunteers to pray with and for you. Clear, focused requests are far more effective than long, rambling, or overly poetic explanations.

Tip #6: Stay open to surprises

Again and again, we hear stories where God delivers a better or completely different outcome than what was requested. It’s often, “I asked for a new client … and my son got sober!” Watch for those moments—and tell us when they happen.
